YOUNG KAREN BIRD:
In Shangri-La Suite, Jade Pettyjohn portrays Young Karen Bird, a spirited teenager from a middle-class Southern family in the 1950s. Her character is introduced in the film's opening sequence, providing insight into Karen's formative years and the experiences that shape her rebellious nature. While her screen time is brief, Pettyjohn's portrayal captures the essence of a young woman on the cusp of transformation, setting the stage for Emily Browning's later depiction of Karen as an adult.
